Why Selling Carbon Credits Is Hard. Here’s How We Fix That.

Fragmented carbon credit pricing

We aggregate and standardize pricing data across registries, transactions, retirements, and standards, delivering a single, trusted source of truth for carbon credit pricing.

Poor demand visibility

By combining buyer activity, procurement signals, and historic market patterns, we help sellers identify high-intent buyers, generate qualified leads, and track demand shifts in real time.

Policy uncertainties and developments

We embed live policy updates, compliance eligibility signals, and regulatory risk indicators directly into project analytics, enabling sellers to position credits for long-term value.

Liquidity Risks and price volatility

Our indices, trading velocity metrics, and market depth indicators reveal where liquidity is forming, enabling sellers to time issuance, optimize pricing, and reduce inventory risk.

Rising quality scrutiny

We benchmark projects against global quality, integrity, and performance metrics, giving sellers the data they need to demonstrate differentiation and defend premium pricing.

Identify Carbon Credit Buyers

Most project developers and brokers spend more time searching for buyers than selling to them. The AlliedOffsets Buyer Lead Generation Tool changes that, giving you a live, filterable database of 70,000+ corporates, ranked by how likely they are to purchase credits like yours. Using this tool, you can:

Build targeted buyer lists in minutes: Filter by sector, geography, credit type, price paid, and sustainability commitments. No manual research, no cold lists, just buyers who match your inventory.

See exactly what buyers have paid: Access transaction-level retirement data to understand price expectations by buyer type before you open a negotiation.
Identify buyers before they come to market Our Likelihood to Buy score ranks 130,000+ companies by their probability of near-term carbon market participation, so you can get in front of demand early.

Spot lapsed buyers ready to return: Track companies that have previously purchased credits but gone quiet, and identify the right moment to re-engage them.

CORSIA

Insurance is emerging as a critical enabler of the global aviation carbon market, as new analysis from carbon market intelligence provider AlliedOffsets and carbon insurance provider Artio reveals that constraints on insurable supply, rather than issuance volumes alone, will define the trajectory of the global aviation offsetting scheme – CORSIA – in its first compliance phase.

This jointly published report shows that while the volume of eligible credits has more than doubled in the past year, from around 15 million to over 32 million, the proportion of credits that airlines can realistically access remains significantly constrained. This is due to a combination of host-country authorization requirements, Article 6 progress, and the availability of insurance to de-risk transactions.

Selling Carbon Credits in the Voluntary Carbon Market

Public registry data and free reports can provide useful baseline information, but they are often fragmented and time-consuming to analyze. AlliedOffsets consolidates and standardizes this data into a single platform, enabling faster insights, better comparisons, and more informed decision-making. For small teams, this reduces manual effort and provides a more efficient way to understand pricing, buyers, and market trends.
